So before I throw some money into a pond;

Is any of the Stalker chassis able to mount an ECM?

Thank you.

You want the mech with the most weapon hardpoints to have ECM? Get real man.

Why would one exclude the other? 85 tons is 85 tons, no matter how many hardpoints there are.

5 med lasers, 2 lrm 15 3 lrm 5. 12 tons of ammo and enough heatsinks to keep fairly cool. I run through around 1000-1200 missiles in a decent length match, one which I am able to shoot for a long time, I nearly ran out on.

Any mech that can dump out 12 tons of lrm in a single match is horriying, ecm is not a good thing to add to the chassis, considering this.

I ran out of space and like firing my guns for all eternity.
I also don't like firing 1 rocket per shot for a long time.

Then why not just take 3 lrm 15's because that is what you are basically firing.

All stats and stuff aside.... It's called a Stalker. By name alone, knowing nothing else about the mech, you expect sneaky-ness. So it's not unreasonable to ask about ECM.

Would a missile mech that uses ECM that may scrabble its own missiles?

D-dc doesn't and no, the guardian does not affect friendly frequencies at all.(this is canon)

Also, it should be noted that the STK-3Fb - a modification to the base Stalker, used by the SLDF and Star League Royal Command, and described in Record Sheets: Operation Klondike - did mount a G-ECM suite. :)

The Star League Royal Stalker is a modified 3Fb and does in fact come with ECM. He is being real man!

I smell a Hero Mech coming!

On TT the other 3F variant does have ECM, it still makes no sense to me why they did not use that one.

I really hope this will not be one of the next hero mech's...
As if even more ECM is what this game currently needs :)

ECM does need more veriety in what can use it. Take it away from the D-DC as ECM was not on it in Canon since there is a Canon ECM Assault now.

Really?

no ... really?

It makes no sense to you why they didnt make the most powerful assault platform in the game also have the "I Win" button.

I guess from the people who brought you the "i Win" button in the first place nothing is impossible but come on.

.....

I get why the raven and cicada got it, because they were useless and needed more people playing. Not sure why the 2D got it since he was by far the best little tin boy. I would probably take it of the Atlas but it makes sense for a big *** command robot to have one I guess. But lets not get too many of the damn things on the field.

Maybe because they do not want two assault chassis to have ECM? Sounds like a pretty sound logic to me.

It's more a question of why did they put ECM on Mechs that never had a variant with it than keeping it off a variant that has it. I lay wager that it will be a Hero coming in the future.
